First Post

I always wondered how people found things to talk about in their blogs. Now as I start this experience, I find the real issue is what topic do you choose.

Well, its an emotional time of year as a Yankee fan, so there it is what takes first.....

The yankees fell to 2 games back yesterday in the race for the division. Most Yankee fans right now only care about the Red Sox and the division. But the Yankees have shown that the last team they can beat in a playoff game are the Angels which right now could be the real prize of winning the division. Right now the Yankees first goal as always should be just making the playoffs. Which at this point is pretty secure short of a melt down worse than the ALCS meltdown against the Red Sox. But where I disagree, who cares about the division, many teams have now shown that entering the playoffs as the wild card does not hurt your chances, (if anything the recent past would suggest the opposite).

Instead, Torre and Cashman need to drop the Jaba Rules, using the 1 inning relief pitcher mentallity with the rest of the staff and start playing as if this team was getting ready for the playoffs.

The relief staff needs to be sorted out so that the team can have confidence in its bullpen come October. Farnsworth doesn't need to pitch the rest of the season. Of course Joe probably thinks he may find something in the last 6 days of the season to make him feel comfortable adding him to the post season roster. The same can be said about a couple others.....

The lineup has been fine all year, after 156 some odd games, it's time for Joe and Guidry to figure out like anyone else that has been watching who he can trust and who he can't trust in the playoffs.
